The Rookie and the Class Counter

Can’t find the class you want in the character creation screen? Visit Class Consultant Bhea behind the Class Counter to change classes at any time and set up your skills and Sub-Classes!

The time has come to select a Class. After researching those available in Phantasy Star Online 2, you’ve initially decided that it’s the Techter life for you. The default Class characters rotate on screen as you decide in favor of the Techter for —hopefully— the last time. Your eyes scan the listings but fail to see Techter listed among the six Classes, of which there should be nine. Where are the options for Techter, Fighter, and Gunner? Something’s not right.

WHERE TO FIND YOUR DESIRED CLASS

Are you still stuck in the character creator screen looking for the Techter option? Feel free to select any Class you’re curious about, and then proceed with the tutorial. After reaching the Ship, visit CLASS CONSULTANT BHEA at the Class Counter and select the option CHANGE CLASS. That’s it! You’re now a Techter, and able to proceed with the Techter life. Don't be afraid to try all the Classes, since you can change them any time you're at the Class Counter!

If you don’t have the desired Class weapon, the GUNBLADE —which is provided to all classes in the tutorial— can be used until you pick up or purchase the preferred weapon. Or if you selected Force, you could use the Talis you were given in the tutorial, which can be used by both Forces and Techters. The Class Counter is also where an operative can assign skill points in the Class Skill Tree, select a Sub-Class, and fill out a Sub-Class Skill Tree. It’s quite the place.

SWITCHING CLASSES AT ANY TIME

In many cases, an operative decides to level up another Class, but their friends jump on at the last minute and are preparing to do a Quest on a much higher difficulty than the operative’s current level in the new Class. Fortunately, the Class build mainly used by the operative is of adequate level for the Quest, so they swap Classes and merrily join the Party. No having to log off, and then log onto another Arks; just change Classes and go.

WHERE CAN I LEARN MORE ABOUT EACH CLASS?

Basic tutorials on the Techter and other Classes are available via the Quest Counter under the heading PRACTICE QUESTS. If you’d like to become an expert in Classes and complete them all, then do so! There may even be a special TITLE at the end of that tunnel to commemorate the achievement!

See you at the Class Counter, Arks!
